Ingredients

  • 2 bunches broccolini (about 1 pound)
  • 2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes or 1 Tbsp finely sliced fresh chilies
  • ½ tsp lemon pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ lemon, cut into 4 wedges

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F. Line a large baking sheet with foil.
  2. Add the olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes or chilies, lemon pepper and salt into a small bowl. Microwave for one minute.
  3. Remove the tough ends from the broccolini, place in a large bowl and toss with the oil mixture, until thoroughly coated.
  4. Place the broccolini onto the baking sheet, including all the garlic slices, and scatter the lemon wedges around the edge of the baking sheet. Note: using a small roasting sheet will crowd the broccoli and cause it to steam, so use two small sheets if you don’t have a large sheet available.
  5. Roast for 15 minutes. Serve with the roasted lemon wedges for squeezing.
