VEBA Resource Center Grand Opening Celebration
The VEBA Resource Center (VRC) hosted its Grand Opening Celebration in January, 2019 with a reception event attended by Assemblyman Todd Gloria, San Diego County Supervisor Nathan Fletcher, San Diego City Councilman Chris Ward, San Diego Unified School District Superintendent Cindy Marten and Robin Watkins with the American Federation of Teachers Local 1931.

The new VEBA Resource Center empowers members with a personalized approach to well-being, including individual and group counseling, healthy cooking classes, yoga and resources to improve access to care.
Why the VEBA Resource Center
For years, the VEBA Board dreamed of improving the physical and mental health of its members through a new resource center, which is now open in Mission Valley. Hear from board members about why they developed the VEBA Resource Center, and how they hope to change the way healthcare is delivered.
Making Healthcare Better for Everyone
The California Schools VEBA, a non-profit purchasing pool for education employees, was founded on the premise that better health care leads to lower costs. While this concept may seem contradictory, in health care, better care and lower costs are directly related. When employees get the right care at the right time, their outcomes improve and health costs are lower. Watch the video to hear about our approach.
